Biography

Dr.Alex L Celullare, MD is a PhD fellow from the Heart Institute of the University of Sao Paulo (USP). He is certified by the Brazilian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr. Celullare specializes in minimally invasive cardiac surgery (including TAVI), robotically assisted cardiac surgery and heart failure surgery – including CRT, ECMO (ELSO certified), ventricular assist devices (Berlin Heart, HeartWare and HeartMate II certified) and cardiac transplantation. A native of Sao Paulo, Dr. Celullare completed his residency in cardiovascular surgery at the Heart Institute – University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil. Dr. Celullare has been on the review board for prestigious medical journals. Dr. Celullare is a member of the Brazilian Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, the Brazilian Society of Cardiology, the International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiothoracic Surgery, the American Society for Artificial Internal Organs, the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and member of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Academy of the ISHLT.


Research Interest

Dr.Alex L Celullare interests are cardiovascular surgery, especially minimally invasive cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, ECMO and Transcatheter valve replacement.
