Dr. Verma and group have isolated and characterized >4500 microbes (Archaea, bacteria and fungi) from different extreme environments (salinity, temperatures, drought and pH) and crops associated as epiphytic, endophytic and phyllospheric. Among >4500 isolated 308 efficient plant growth promoting and hydrolytic enzymes producing microbes have been deposited to culture collection of NBAIM, India. Niche-specific microbes from extreme environments were reported as specific bio-inoculants (Biofertilizers) for crops growing in normal and different abiotic stress conditions. She is Editor/associate editor/reviewer in lots of journal including Microbial Ecology; Springer plus, Annals of Microbiology and Member of Association of microbiologist in India, Indian science congress council, India., and National Academy of Sciences, India
