Philip-Richard J. Domeyer is an Academic Tutor of Health Management at the Hellenic Open University and Lecturer and Module Leader of Applied Health Sciences at AMC Metropolitan College (B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing, in collaboration with QMU University, Edinburgh, UK). He is also a Consultant General Practitioner in the Greek National Health System and Head of the Department of Quality Control, Research and Continuing Education of Chalkida General Hospital. Philip is a specialist in General Practice/Family Medicine. He holds an MSc Degree in Health Management and an MSc Degree in Biostatistics. He also holds a PhD Degree from the University of Athens in the academic field of quality of life and healthcare quality. The results of his PhD research study have been published in 3 peer-reviewed Medical Journals indexed in Medline and have been presented in 1 International Conference. Philip has received post-graduate training in numerous scientific fields, such as Breast Diseases, Emergency Medicine, Substance Abuse, Pulmonary Medicine, Diabetes Mellitus and Quality in Healthcare. He has earned 4 scholarships during his studies as well as panhellenic rewards and credits for his research work. Philip has taught General Practice/Primary Care to more than 1200 students of various Universities and Technological Institutions in undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He is currently an Academic Tutor of the Hellenic Open University and a Lecturer and Module Leader of Applied Health Sciences at the AMC Metropolitan College. Philip has almost 15 years of experience in salaried posts in the Greek NHS and has been conducting research for several years. He is the author and co-author of more than 45 research manuscripts (full papers / abstracts) in Scientific Journals and has presented his work in numerous National and International Conferences. He has taken part in international research projects.
