Dr. Geraldine McLeod’s research has included examinations of: predictors of weight-gain and weight-loss maintenance; consequences of obesity stigma; and psychosocial outcomes of obesity. Since the award of her Ph.D. in public health in 2012, which focussed on predictors of sunburn, she has worked as a Research Fellow for the Christchurch Health and Development Study. The Christchurch Health and Development Study, based in at the University of Otago, Christchurch, is a well-studied longitudinal cohort of children born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1977. Since that time her research interests have also included mental health, peri-menopause/menopause and statistical methods.
