Currently, Dr. Dhananjay Yadav is working as International Research Professor in the Department of Medical Biotechnology, Yeungnam University, Korea. Basically, in this lab, they are working on functionality and modification of HDL-C and other lipid markers. Previous studies have highlighted the importance of HDL-C concentration in blood and thus it was suggested that higher level of HDL-C reduce the risk of developing cardiovascular disease (CVD). However, recent research has shown that people with an elevated level of HDL-C were not protected from CVD mortality. Both quantity and quality of HDL-C have to be taken care so that we can explain the reason behind it. The modification of lipoprotein in HDL-C lead to dysfunctional properties in term of its protective functions. Right now He is engaging with both epidemiological and basic research on functionality and modification of several lipoproteins. He is interested to work in the field of obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Dr. Dhananjay Yadav Research interests are:obesity, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
