Dr. Jalaei is a senior lecturer of Audiology department of the Faculty of Rehabilitation of Iran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. He has undertaken his PhD in the Audiology program of Health School of University Sains Malaysia (USM). Dr. Jalaei has trained on recording auditory brainstem response with speech stimuli in adults and children. Nowadays, He lectures on Cognitive neuroscience, Electrophysiology issues for MSc and PhD students of Audiology. He also conducts students in clinical and practical courses.
Dr. Jalaei is interested in Neuroplasticity and Electrophysiological recordings relating to plasticity. He also is keen on participatory research, especially research on tinnitus with using electrophysiological tests. He has developed primary research to record speech auditory brainstem response in hearing impaired children and also has developed the parents report of auditory training (PRAT) questionnaire in English and Malay languages.
