Laura González-Calvete earned her Medical Degree (2008), at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Oviedo (Spain). She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the University Hospital Complex of Santiago de Compostela (CHUS), Spain. Her fellowships and residency assignments included the Intensive Care Unit at the Children Hospital in Genève (Switzerland) and the Department of Cardiology at the "Gregorio Marañón University Hospital" in Madrid (Spain). Currently, she works as a pediatrician in the Emergency Department of the University Hospital of Cabueñes in Gijón, (Spain). She has applied emerging practices and research in medical training as well as medical simulation to improve the quality of care and worked in collaboration and under the tutelage of Dr. Rodríguez Nuñez, Ph.D., a leading expert in the field. Her research interests focus on developing and discovering new pathways of training in pediatric resuscitation and medical simulation.
