Biography

Dr. Anil Kesavan is an Attending Pediatric Gastroenterologist at Rush University Children's Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Rush Medical College. After receiving his B.A. in Neuroscience from Oberlin College, Dr. Kesavan completed his medical degree (M.D.) at the University of Illinois. He was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society during medical school. He went on to train at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian, Columbia University Medical Center where he completed a residency in Pediatrics, followed by a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology. He is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Pediatrics. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Kesavan is actively involved in the teaching of medical students and pediatric housestaff in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. He is Co-Director of the Pediatric Celiac and Food Sensitivity Center at the Rush University Children's Hospital. He has an interest in food intolerance, allergic diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, celiac disease, and inflammatory bowel disease.
