Dr. Gómez is a faculty member of the Department of Clinical Neurophysiology and Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Unit from the International Center for Neurological Restoration, Havana, Cuba. He graduated from Havana Medical Sciences Institute, where he is currently professor in Clinical Neurology. Dr. Gómez has trained several generations of Clinical Neurophysiologist and Neurologist. He lectures Electromyography and Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation for psychiatric and neurological disorders. His clinical work is developed at the Clinical Neurophysiology Department at his institution and at the Non-Invasive Brain Stimulation Unit.
Dr. Gómez is interested in new therapeutic alternatives with the use of magnetic and electric fields for treating mental and neurological disorders, neuroplasticity and neurodevelopmental disorders. He has an active participation in the development of clinical trials combining rehabilitation and non-invasive brain stimulation techniques.
