Biography

Dr. Banu Salepci is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chest Diseases, at Yeditepe University. Dr. Salepci graduated from the Istanbul University İstanbul Faculty of Medicine in 1984 and completed her training in respiratory medicine at Health Science University Kartal Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Training and Research Hospital in İstanbul in 1991. She worked at the chest diseases clinic of the same hospital as chest physician between 1991-2001, and as assistant chief between 2001-2015 and as chief between 2015-2017. She became Associate Professor in 2014. She retired from Dr. Lutfi Kirdar Training and Research Hospital in April 2017. She has been working as an prelector in the Department of Chest Diseases, at Yeditepe University. She has 27 international published papers, 51 national published papers, 4 book chapters, 54 international congress presentations and 114 national congress presentations. She is a member of Turkish Thorasic Society, Turkish Respiratory Research Society (TUSAD), European Respiratory Society ( ERS ), American Thoracic Society (ATS), European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), Turkish Sleep Medicine Society, Turkish Against Tuberculosis Society, Turkish Lung Cancer Society (AKAD), European Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (EABIP). She is also a member of Board of Directors of Turkish Sleep Medicine Society.

Sleep breathing disorders, Tobacco control, Bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasonography (EBUS), Lung Cancer, Interstitial Lung Diseases.
