Dr. Sajib Kumar Saha is a Research Scientist at the E Health Research Centre of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia. He is working towards the development of machine learning techniques for the automated detection and progression analysis of sight threatening eye disease, specifically diabetic retinopathy (DR) and Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). He has a PhD in Electrical Engineering/ Biomedical Imaging from the University of New South Wales, Canberra, Australia. He obtained a dual master degree in Imaging and Computer Vision from the University of Jean Monnet, France and Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway. He had a bachelor in Computer Science and Engineering. Dr. Saha has published numerous articles in the form of peer reviewed journals, book chapters and conference proceedings. His research interests and expertise include biomedical signal processing and analysis, computer vision, medical imaging, and image processing in general.
