Dr Beatrice Aramini is a practicing thoracic surgeon in the Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences for Children and Adults, Operative Unit of Thoracic Surgery, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Italy). In 2007 she graduated in Medicine at University of Bologna (Italy), and in 2008 she started her Doctoral Course (PhD) in “Thoracic surgical and medical Sciences” at University of Bologna ; from October 2008 to December 2010 she attended the laboratories at Columbia University Medical Center where she developed a NIH founded Research Project titled “The Role of SP-A gene polymorphism in lung transplantation”, supervised by Prof. Frank D’Ovidio. After her PhD course, she started the thoracic surgery residency at University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (2011-2016). From August 2015 to June 2016 she worked as Clinical Fellow at AKH Thoracic Surgery Department directed by Prof. Walter Klepetko. In June 2016 she completed her residency course and she started to work as attending surgeon at University Hospital of Modena and Reggio Emilia.She is an active member of Italian Society of Thoracic Surgeons (SICT) and of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT).
