Jacques Ramos Houly, MD, Ph.D, graduated from Federal University of Alagoas, Brazil, in 2004. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology in 2008 at IOR, Pernambuco, Brazil. After his residency, he completed his Fellowship in Cataract (2009) and Vitreoretinal surgery (2010) at IOR and Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), respectively. He has also concluded an Ultrasonography Fellowship at UFMG (2011). Additionally, he received his Ph.D from UFMG in 2015. During the last years, he has been an instructor of cataract and vitreoretinal surgery in several Medical Institutions. Currently, he is an assistant Physician at Hilton Rocha Foundation and Federal University of Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Dr. Houly is speaker in several Ophthalmology conferences; he has several scientific papers and book chapters. Furthermore, he serves on the editorial/advisory board of some International journals.
