Professor Mridul M Panditrao is a Professor, Head and Consultant In-Charge of ICU, Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, at Adesh Insitute of Medical Sciences and Research (AIMSR), Adesh University, Bathinda, Punjab, India. He has experience of more than 33 years in the field of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care, Pain Management, post-Graduate teaching and Training and Administration. After training from Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India, the most prestigious Medical Institute of India, he was invited to work as a Consultant/Lecturer in University of West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica and Consultant at Princess Margaret Hospital, Nassau, Bahamas for nearly 9 years. He had a short stint as a “Locum Consultant” at Al Adan hospital in Kuwait. Recently he returned from The Bahamas, where he had been invited to work at Rand Memorial hospital, Freeport, on a 2 years contractual appointment as a consultant.
He is nationally well-known and recognized post-graduate teacher; examiner, orator, researcher, academician and administrator. More than 50 National/International presentations, 35 International and National level publications and 2 chapters in an Anesthesiology textbook are some of his contributions to the chosen specialty. He has been an Editor of 2 different University journals: one National, Medical Journal of DPU and one International UWI NICE Bulletin; A peer Reviewer for Indian Journal of Anaesthesia, Journal of Anaesthesiology Clinical Pharmacology and an International Advisory review board Member for a Saudi Arabian Journal- Anesthesiology: Essays and Researches.
