Paul Scully is a Medical graduate of University College Cork, Ireland, and is a Post-Doctoral fellow / clinical tutor in the Department of Paediatrics within University of Limerick, Ireland. Dr. Scully is a General Practitioner with a Special interest in Paediatric and Sport and Exercise Medicine. Prior to his current position Dr. Scully was Post-Doctoral fellow in Medical Science at University College Cork and has previous publications within Gastroenterology and Psychiatry fields. Dr. Scully has been recipient of a number of Awards and scholarship over the last 15 years and has published over 50 articles and chapters in a wide variety of fields including Paediatrics, Psychiatry, Gastroenterology, Microbiology and Haematology. Dr. Scully has post-graduate qualifications in Sport and Exercise Medicine, Elderly medicine and Clinical Psychiatry.
Paul Scully’s research interested includes Exercise and Health, Paediatrics, Paediatric obesity, Preventative medicine strategies, Health promotion, and Public Health policy. The overall aim from a Research perspective is the promotion of general health and exercise interventions as a preventative strategy for future disease development.
