Biography

Wassila Sahtout is an associate professor in Biophysics at the Institute of biotechnology of Sfax (Tunisia) and member of the research laboratory of Biophysics and medical technologies of Tunis. After obtaining an applied mechanical mastery of Tunis University, she holds a PhD in biological and medical engineering of the University Paris-Diderot (Paris 7), and a HDR in Biophysics at the University of Sfax. She is responsible for biophysics and member of the Scientific Council of the Higher Institute of Biotechnology of Sfax and she supervises thesis on the physical modeling of the blood circulation and the interactions between cerebral blood flow and flow of cerebrospinal fluid.


Research Interest

Dr.Wassila Sahtou Researches currently focus on three main areas dedicated to the development of noninvasive diagnostic techniques and medical decision support systems. The first area is Physical and mathematical cardiovascular flow modeling. The second area is the Modeling physical and mathematical of the interactions between cerebral blood flow and flow of cerebrospinal fluid. The third area is the Modeling physical and mathematical of the electrophysiological functions.
