Dr. Alfadl is the Head of Pharmacy Practice Department at Unaizah College of Pharmacy, Qassim University. Dr. Alfadl obtained his B.Sc. in Pharmacy at University of Khartoum, and then he obtained his MSc. at University of Strathclyde, and finally his PhD in public health pharmacy at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Before joining Qassim University in 2013 as assistant professor in pharmacy practice, Dr. Alfadl worked with the Ministry of Health, Sudan for 10 years as the Director of the National Drug Quality Control Laboratory, and as a member of; the Federal Pharmacy and Poisons Board, the Technical Committee for Human Drug Registration, the Technical Committee for Herbal Drug Registration, and the Technical Committee for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Companies Registration.
His research primarily involves examining consumer behavior, in specific buying behavior associated with drugs and related consumer behavior, especially in developing countries. The focus of this research has been directed at counterfeit drugs buying behavior and associated ethical issues where he developed a scale for measurement of counterfeit drugs purchase intention in developing countries. Most recently, his specific interest has involved examining the effect of income on consumers’ ethical evaluation and purchase behavior of counterfeit drugs. Dr. Alfadl is the main author or co-author of more than 20 articles and titles that represent publications in international peer-reviewed journals, books, book chapters, or conference presentations besides other works published in some websites or local journals. Also, he is a reviewer for international peer reviewed journals from fields of Pharmacy, Consumer Behavior, and Counterfeit Drugs. Alfadl is also an Editorial Board member of Sudanese Journal of Public Health.
