Biography

I started teaching physiology in 2004 before I obtained my medical degree in 2007. During my Ph.D. career, I have developed a profound interest in myocardial electrophysiology, specifically in transmembrane action potentials acquisition from isolated beating hearts. My doctoral thesis involved the study of the mechanisms postconditioning cardioprotection in the healthy myocardium as well as in hearts from hypertensive and metabolic syndrome rat models.
