Biography

Ronald T. Brown, Ph.D. is Professor and Dean of Allied Health Sciences in the School of Allied Health Sciences at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is a pediatric psychologists whose primary research interest has been in the psychosocial aspects of chronic illnesses. Dr. Brown has served as the Editor of the Journal of Pediatric Psychology and currently serves as the Editor of Professional Psychology: Research and Practice. He has been the President of the Society of Pediatric Psychology and is the Past President of the Association of Psychologists in Academic Health Centers. Dr. Brown has published over 300 articles and chapters in the area of pediatric health care and has written 12 books in the area of pediatric psychopharmacology, chronic illness and pediatric psychology.


Research Interest

Ronald Brown's research interests include pediatric psychosocial oncology, neurosocognitive and psychosocial aspects of sickle cell disease and psychopharmacology of attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
