V. A. Mannacio Associate Professor at the Department of Cardiac Surgery, University School of Medicine and Surgery Federico II, Naples - Italy . In 1979 He received his University Degree in Medicine and Surgery at Second Medical school of Naples-Italy. He was Board Certified in General surgery in 1984 and in Cardiovascular Surgery in 1990. From 1982 to 1983 he spent a Research Fellowship in pediatric cardiac surgery at the Academich Medich Zentrum, Amsterdam, The Nederland, and from 1983 to 1984 a Research Fellowship in adult cardiac surgery at the Guy’s Hospital, London, United Kingdom. From 1985 to date he was appointed at the Department of Cardiac Surgery of the University School of Medicine and Surgery Federico II, Naples – Italy. Dr. Mannacio has authored 41 publications on impacted journal (many of which as first or corresponding author). He is Editorial Board Member of International Journal of Surgery (Editor Assistant), Vessel Plus, Journal of Cardiovascular Medicine and Therapeutics, ISM Cardiothoracic Surgery, JScholar-Journal of Biomedical Engineering and Research, Journal Cardiovascular & Hematological Disorders-Drug Targets. His research interests focus on Cardiac Surgery: Arterial conduits for Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Off-pump CABG, Patient prosthesis mismatch after Aortic Valve Replacement, Myocardial metabolism and structure, Statin use in coronary surgery.
