Biography

Dr. Sivaraman Jayaraman is currently a National Postdoctoral Fellow, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad awarded by DST-SERB, Govt. of India. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Bio-Medical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai in 2006 and received his Master’s Degree in Medical Electronics from College of Engineering, Guindy, Anna University, Chennai in 2009. He was awarded the HTRA fellowship from the Ministry of HRD, Government of India for his doctoral study in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in August 2010 and received his PhD degree in February 2015 in collaboration with the Department of Cardiology, Madras Medical College, Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital, Chennai. He was selected as Young Engineering Leader of India under the theme “Health Care Devices” by Indian National Academy of Engineering and IIT-Gandhinagar in the first Indo-Chinese Young Engineering Leaders’ Conclave 2015 held at IIT-Gandhinagar. He is a member in IEEE-Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, Life member in Biomedical Engineering Society of India, International Society of Heart Research, International Society of Electrocardiology and Indian Society for Technical Education.


Research Interest

Dr. Sivaraman Jayaraman Research Interest are: His principal field of research is electrocardiography, encompassing the design of lead systems, study of electrode placements, development of diagnostic criteria for Ta wave and P-Ta interval measurements and SAECG studies on atrial late potentials.
