Biography

Murat Tomruk was born in Kırklareli, Turkey in 1986. He graduated from School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Dokuz Eylul University in 2009. Physiotherapist Murat Tomruk completed MSci degree at Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy program at Health Science Institution of Dokuz Eylul University and graduated in 2013. His master thesis was about predictors of functional capacity in colorectal cancer patients. He is still doing PhD and his doctorate thesis was about the effects of manual therapy. Since 2011, Murat Tomruk works as a research assistant at Dokuz Eylul University and took part in scientific researches, projects and book writing. He has also been a clinical supervisor in in-patient physiotherapy services in a variety of departments, including chest diseases, chest surgery, intensive care units, orthopedics, neurosurgery and internal medicine at Dokuz Eylul University Hospital. Physiotherapist Tomruk is a member of World Confederation for Physical Therapy, European Respiratory Society, Turkish Physiotherapy Association and Turkish Thoracic Society.


Research Interest

Murat Tomruk’s research interests include musculosketal physiotherapy, pulmonary rehabilitation, manual therapy, resistive exercise training, kinesio taping, biomechanics of spine and thorax, virtual reality based exercise.
