Dr. Jakir Hossain Bhuiyan Masud completed his Medical Graduation and Master of Health Economics from University of Dhaka and Master of Public Health (MPH) from State University of Bangladesh. He worked as a Field Officer-Tobacco Control (Consultant) in World Health Organization (WHO) in 2011. He worked as a faculty of Health Informatics (Masters Program) at BIHS from January 2011 to October 2012. After that he has been working as guest faculty of Public Health at Bangladesh University of Health Sciences since 2013. He have completed Graduate program on Leadership from Johns Hopkins School of Public Health (JHSPH), USA in 2012. He also completed his Operational Research Fellowship at Kathmandu, Nepal by The Union, WHO, TDR, MSF, LuxOR from Feb-Nov 2013.
He worked as a National Consultant at UNICEF from January-March 2014. He got WHO Fellowship to attend WHO, AeHIN meeting and China Health IT Conference in Kunming, China from 22-27 July 2014. He has more than 9 years research, project management and teaching experience on Maternal & Child health, TB, Tobacco Control, Health Informatics, Public Health, Epidemiology etc. He has published article and poster presentation in national and international arena. He is an Editor of 2 International journals and reviewer of several journals.
