Biography

Eleanor Gerada, graduated as a medical doctor in 2004 at the University of Malta, and attained the Royal College of Physicians membership (MRCP) in 2008. She furthered her medical training in Cambridgeshire (UK) in 2008-2009. She attained the European Diploma in adult respiratory medicine (HERMES) and the Respiratory SCE MRCP (UK) in 2015. She is currently working as a General and Respiratory Medicine Specialist at Mater Dei University Hospital, Malta. She is currently reading for a PhD degree with the same university where she also lectures at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery. She works as an Educational Supervisor with the UK Foundation Programme and as a supervisor of medical specialist trainees with the Postgraduate Training Department of the same hospital. She also acts as an examiner in the University of Malta Medical School as well as a tutor and examiner in the European Certificate in essential palliative care. She is an active member of respiratory societies including BTS, ERS and ATS. She has a number of publications, as well as abstracts which have been presented at international conferences.
