Biography

Dr. Jung is the professor of Department of Occupational Therapy and Director of Ergonomics/Safety Research Center in Dongshin University. He is also Board Director of Prevention Committee for Musculoskeletal Disorders as well as Board Director of Occupational Safety and Health Program in Korea Safety and Health Administration. Dr. Jung was undertaking his Bachelor in Architectural Engineering in Dankook University, Korea and his Master degree in Industrial Engineering in Murray State University, USA. In 1993, he graduated from University of Houston and got his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering. Then he moved to Korea and worked at Dongshin University as a faculty member of Industrial Engineering. In 2006, Dr. Jung transferred to the Department of Occupational Therapy in Dongshin University, Korea. As an educator, Dr. Jung has taught Human Anatomy and Physiology, Human Factors Engineering, Rehabilitation Engineering, Cognitive Engineering, Ergonomics, Occupational Therapy for undergraduate and graduate students in Dongshin University, Korea.


Research Interest

His research areas include Human Anatomy and Physiology, Human Factors Engineering, Rehabilitation Engineering, Cognitive Engineering, Ergonomics, Occupational Therapy and involve the applications of a number of engineering techniques such as those of product design, workplace design, working method design and design of human performance assessment and training tools. Specifically, his research interests focus on the development and evaluation of products and environments for disabled people. Most recently, his specific interest has involved examining the behavior of humans with physical and mental disorders. Dr. Jung authored more than 15 publications in peer-reviewed English journals. He serves for 5 academic journals as a reviewer and is also on the editorial board for a number of journals.
