Dr. Chhabra completed his Cardiology fellowship from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, CT, USA. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases and Echocardiography by the American Board of Internal Medicine and National Board of Echocardiography. He is currently practicing as an Invasive Non-interventional Cardiologist at the Heartland Regional Medical Center, Illinois, USA and holds a faculty appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois. Under the guidance of legendary Dr. David Spodick (a world famous pericardiologist), Dr. Chhabra collaborated on numerous research projects focusing on pericardial diseases in the early days of his career, and this led to his development of a special interest on this subject. Dr. Chhabra has over 150 publications in several international peer-reviewed journals and also has authored and co-authored several book chapters. He has a special research interest in Pericardial diseases, Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy and Non-invasive Cardiology. He has also been a presenter and an invited speaker on numerous national and International society meetings. Dr. Chhabra is also a peer-reviewer and an Editorial board member for several international medical journals.
