Dr.Supaporn Trongsakul has had a very distinguished career, working with Government and NGOs, before moving into academia. She has a Bachelor Degree in Occupational therapy (focus on mental health issue) and a Master of Science in Basic Pharmacology from Chiang Mai University, Thailand. In 2008, she was awarded a Thai Ministry of Science and Technology scholarship to undertake PhD study in School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of East Anglia (UEA) in the UK. During her PhD study, the research project was presented at the conferences in London and Leicester. Additionally her work has presented in conferences as in Taiwan, Indonesia and Thailand. Currently, Dr.Trongsakul has been teaching and monitoring of undergraduate and postgraduate students either local or international students at the School of Health Science, Mae Fah Luang University, Thailand.
Dr.Trongsakul is well published in the areas of health psychology, particularly in ageing and health promotion. Her work has focused on the cognitive decline and depressive mood of older people in primary care and community. From her study background, she has a research career with a multitude of varied experiences and has published numerous papers in the areas of health studies. She also has acted as a reviewer for the international and local journals.
