Dr. William Pérez studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay. In 2012 he obtained an MSc degree in “Anatomía del aparato reproductor del venado de campo (Ozotoceros bezoarticus).” from Sciences Faculty at the University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay. In 2016 he received a PhD degree in Animal production from University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay. Since 1993 he works as a full Professor of Veterinary Anatomy at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Uruguay. He is Vice-president (Region 2: Americas) of the World Association of Veterinary Anatomists.
His research interests are mainly Anatomy of the Ruminants, Marine Mammals, Equines, Rodents and Birds. Most works are focused on the digestive, reproductive, cardiovascular and locomotor apparatus.
