She is Charuta Agashe. She received her Bachelors in Pharmacy from the University of Pune, India. She came to United States of America in 2010 for her masters in Molecular Science and Nanotechnology from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. Here she received basic laboratory training and vision for research. she joined Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 2013 as a part of Dr Cecilia Berinís Laboratory in Division of Allergy and Immunology in Pediatrics Department. She also involved in the development of new approaches to immune profiling of immune cells from pediatric patients.She developed her interest in Immunology when she worked as an intern in one of the leading vaccine production units, Serum Institute in India during my undergraduate degree. She decided to pursue her career in biological research and with this intention; she landed to Louisiana tech for Masters in Molecular Biology. She believed entering much focused field; She need to have in-depth knowledge at cellular level first. After finishing her degree she decided to join a full blown immunology research.
Her research focus is on profiling of allergen-specific immune responses through multi-parameter flow cytometry and transcriptional analysis.
