Dr. Busra Durmus finished her medical education in 2012 at the Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In 2013 she finalized her PhD degree regarding early growth and childhood adiposity by participating in the Generation R Study Group in Rotterdam. The Generation R is a prospective cohort study from fetal life until young adulthood in a multi-ethnic urban population. In 2013 and 2014 she worked as resident neurology at respectively, the Erasmus Medical Centre in Rotterdam and the Amphia Hospital in Breda, the Netherlands. Since 2015 she is doing her official residency in neurology in Belgium at the Antwerp University Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include epilepsy, infectious diseases and autoimmune disorders within the field of neurology.
Dr. Busra Durmus’ research interests include infectious diseases, auto-immune disorders, epilepsy and stroke.
