Dr Clara Green is a specialist respiratory registrar doctor at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, United Kingdom. She currently works as a clinical research fellow with the University of Birmingham. Dr Green completed her primary medical degree at the University of Birmingham and graduated with Honours in 2007. She completed her foundation and core medical training in the West Midlands Deanery obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2010. She started training as a specialist registrar in general internal and respiratory medicine in 2011 and obtained the specialist certificate of Respiratory medicine in 2013. She returned to the University of Birmingham to begin her current research post at the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing in 2013. Dr Green has multiple publications in general and respiratory medicine including several original papers.
Dr Green’s primary research interests are in COPD and alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency including the relationship between COPD and lung cancer.
