Matteo Vassallo was born in Sanremo (Italy) in 1975 and he is a graduate of the University of Genoa, Italy. He obtained is medical degree and his specialty in Infectious Diseases in the same University. He worked as hospital practitioner in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Nice University Hospital, in Nice, France, from 2004 to 2010. He joined in 2010 the Department of Internal Medicine of Cannes General Hospital in Cannes, France, where he works at present and has the responsibility of the Unit of Infectious Diseases.
Matteo Vassallo has several publications on Infectious Diseases and his main research interests are about catheter related bloodstream infections and HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders.
