Dr. Harinder Jaseja received his Medical degree from Jiwaji University, Gwalior, India in 1980. Joined as Faculty in G R Medical College, Gwalior in December 1979. Awarded Postgraduate medical degree (MD in Physiology) in 1985. Obtained training in clinical neurophysiology at Christian Medical College, Vellore, India in 1987. From 1988 to 1990 worked as Private Medical consultant. From 1991 till date, EEG Consultant and Medical Researcher, Vellore EEG Center, Gwalior, India. Member of several Medical and Neuroscience organizations. Editorial member of several Editorial Boards. Reviewer of different International Scientific Journals and Author of more than 70 scientific papers published in International Journals with Impact Factor.
Dr Harinder Jaseja’s research focuses on Epilepsy especially deep brain stimulation in intractable epilepsy, Vagal nerve stimulation, EEG, Cerebral Palsy and Neural correlates of Meditation. Two patent applications in United States Patent and Trademark Office.Dr Jaseja has been ranked Second in Epilepsy Research in India as published in a leading National Scientific Journal (Annals of Neurosciences April 2013). He has initiated an International debate on the epileptogenic potential of Meditation. In early 2013, Dr Jaseja had invented and published a novel therapeutic electrical stimulation technique for patients with intractable epilepsy (Pedunculopontine nucleus stimulation). He has also published EEG-guided novel strategy for selection and determination of deep brain stimulation parameters in intractable epilepsy.
