Prof. Tamojit Ghosh Roy had outstanding and enriching professional engagements in the Educational Publishing Industry for 16 years, where he contributed to the robust growth of globally admired publishing brands like McGraw-Hill Education, Harvard Business School Press, Oxford University Press and Wolters Kluwer Business (Netherlands) in India. During his work assignment, he got the opportunity to assist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the President of India in developing his book – Envisioning an Empowered Nation. The enriching association of working with Dr. Kalam made him to follow his heart to become a teacher.
Currently, he is teaching at one of India’s prominent business school in Mumbai, under the aegis of Maharashtra Educational Society. Within 5 years, he has transferred his knowledge and learning from corporate world into actionable plans for institution building activities.
He has been a catalyst in building brand equity of the institute by creating several innovations. There are several firsts that have been credited to his sincere efforts and commitment in building the brand – a management conclave; International Conference series; Student Exchange Program with Universiti Utara Malaysia; a dedicated forum for Industry Professionals; Career Counselling Forums; Social Researches; Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship Centre; Soft Skills Development Centre and recently Industry Research & Training Centre - all of them are today strategic properties of the B-School.
Recently, he has been nominated for Best Teaching Award (2014) by India International Friendship Society in appreciation to innovations created in Higher Education teaching process.
