Biography

Dr Tomasz Powrózek is currently Research Associate in Department of Human Physiology at Medical University of Lublin, Poland. During his doctoral training at Department of Pneumonology, Oncology and Allergology developed new potential markers for early lung cancer diagnosis based on analysis of epigenetics markers using liquid biopsy technique. The cancer screening is for dr Powrózek main area of interest. However, he put also particular attention on investigation of molecular predictive and prognostic factors of neoplasms, such as miRNAs, DNA methylation and SNPs. Nowadays, he is active in investigation of molecular markers in blood circulation of head and neck as well as lung cancer patients. Dr Powrózek is member of European Respiratory Society and International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.
