Dr. Temitope Sasore obtained his Ph.D. in Ocular Pharmacology from University College Dublin (UCD) where he utilized zebrafish and mouse models to investigate the therapeutic effect of PI3K/Akt/mTOR signalling pathway drugs as a potential therapy to treat Age-related macular degeneration and Diabetic Retinopathy. He went on to conduct his Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center studying the protective effect of Inter-retinoid photoreceptor binding protein (IRBP) and its relationship with peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARa). He has authored and co-authored several articles in reputable journals including PLoSONE, Journal of Biochemistry, etc.
