Biography

Dr. Gui-Hai Chen is a professor of the department of neurology at the Affiliated Chaohu Hospital of Anhui Medical University and the chairman of Psychiatry Medicine Center of Anhui Medical University. He received his Graduate degree of Neurology with high honors from Anhui Medical University and then he obtained his Ph.D in Geriatrics in the same University. He leads an acclaimed team of Neurology and Neuropsychiatry and he is recognized as one of most experienced physician for Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, stroke, neuropathic pain, bipolar disorder and insomnia. Beside the medical professional, Dr. Chen also serve as, researcher, book editor and a published author, public speaker. His main research areas are behavioral neurology, aging, cognition impaired and neuropsychiatry. He chaired three projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China that related to neuroscience, behavior and epigenetics. Moreover he also involved in various research projects nationally and internationally. Dr. Chen currently serves as an editorial board member for five scientific peer-review journals and author of 5 textbooks related to neuroscience. He has published over 170 papers in renowned journals. Therefor he has won many awards for his research and also granted a national patent related to the experimental study of Alzheimer's disease.

Dr. Gui-Hai Chen’s research is focused on behavioral neuroscience, aging, cognition, epigenetics, synaptic protein, neurodegeneration, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic insomnia, sleep monitoring.
