Dr. Patrícia Patrício graduated in Applied Biology and has a master in Molecular Genetics and Biomedicine by the New University of Lisbon, Portugal. She completed her PhD in Health Sciences, at the University of Minho, Portugal, in the field of Neurobiology of Depression.She is presently a postdoctoral fellow at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) at the School of Medicine, University of Minho, Portugal and Helmholtz Institute, in Munich, Germany. The focus of her work is on preclinical and translational neuropsychiatry, namely on the investigation of novel disease biomarkers and treatment strategies. She is also involved in training and research activities at the School of Medicine and has authored several peer-reviewed papers in the field of preclinical neuropsychiatry. Patrício is also a co-founder and partner of the start up company Bn’ML- Behavioral and Molecular Lab, since 2012.
