Biography

Dr. Filomena Anelli is a young psychologist researcher. She graduated in "Sciences of Behaviour and of Social Relations" (summa cum laude) at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2005 and then she attained a Master Degree in "Neuropsychology and Life-long Functional Rehabilitation" (summa cum laude) at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2007. She completed her post-lauream training at the Centre for Studies and Research in Cognitive Neuroscience of Cesena. In 2008 she obtained a Research Fellow in the FP7-ICT European Project "Emergence of communication in Robots through Sensorimotor and Social Interaction (ROSSI)". In 2010 she won the "Young Investigator Award" of the Italian Association of Psychology. She completed her Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 2012, in the Embodied Cognition Group. She worked as Post-doc Researcher in the FP7-ICT European Project "Musical Interaction Relying On Reflexion (MIROR)". Currently she is Post-doc Researcher at the University of Bologna and at the Istituti Clinici Scientifici S. Maugeri (Italy). She is author or co-author of different peer-reviewed papers published in international scientific journals, and of several presentations and posters in national and international congress. She also serves as invited reviewer of international scientific journals in the fields of cognitive psychology and neuroscience.


Research Interest

Dr. Filomena Anelli's research is focused on embodied cognition, social cognition, perception and action, number-space and time-space interactions, time processing in healthy and brain-damaged individuals.
