Dr. Amber Eker was born in Famagusta,Cyprus on 17 May 1981. She completed her medical training in Hacettepe University Medicine Faculty in 2005. Between 2005-2010 she worked as research asistant in Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Neurology. She gained laboratory animals practice sertificate and prepared her thesis in this issue. She achieved Turkish Neurological Society Board sertificate in Neurology and awarded with the degree of 'Fellow of the European Board of Neurology' in 2013. She turned back to North Cyprus and started to work in Near East University Department of Neurology in december 2010 and she has obtained her associate professorship in neurology in 2016. She is working as head of department of neurology and coordinator of faculty of medicine phase 5 students and electroneurophysiology programme. She is a charter and board member of Cyprus Turkish Neurological Society and a member of Turkish Neurological Society, Cyprus Clinical Neurophysiology Society , Parkinson Disease Society, Turkish EEG-EMG Clinical Neurophysiology Society, Turkish Cerebrovascular Diseases Society, European Academy of Neurology and Near East University Scientific Researches Evaluation and Ethic Commission.
Dr. Amber Eker is interested in cerebrovascular diseases, cognitive disorders, clinical neurophysiology and neuromuscular disorders.
