Biography

Dr. Mario Mihalj received his Medical degree at University of Zagreb and Split in 1996, in 2004 board certification in clinical neurology, and in 2016 PhD in “Basic and Clinical Medical Sciences” at University of Split. From 2004 to 2006 neurologist at Department of Neurology, Stroke Unit, University hospital Split. From 2006 to nowadays neurologist, Department of Neurology, laboratory of electromioneurography, University hospital Split, Croatia. Since 2004 he is involved in teaching activity at the Faculty of Medicine of University of Split. Since 2012 member of the study group “Translational research on neuroplasticity of breathing and effect of intermittent hypoxia in anesthesia and sleep” in collaboration with Sleep Medicine Centre and Department of Neuroscience of University of Split. Reviewer and editorial member of different International Scientific Journals and author of more than 15 scientific papers published in International Journals with Impact Factor.


Research Interest

Dr. Mario Mihalj’s research focused on neurophysiology, electromyoneurography, muscle and nerve disease, polyneuropathy, obstructive sleep apnea, gait analysis, hydrocephalus, thrombosis, platelets.
