Dr. Venusia Covelli is a Psychologist, Ph.D. in Social Psychology in 2009. From 2001 to 2007 she took part in several researches organized by the Psychology Department of Catholic University of Milan. From 2011 on, she collaborates with the Neurology, Public Health and Disability Unit at the Foundation IRCCS Neurological Institute (FINCB - Milan, Italy) on several research projects based on the ICF Classification and focussed on the evaluation of patient-reported outcomes, funded by the European Commission, Italian Ministry of Health, private foundations, and on projects sponsored by FINCB. In 2013 winner of a grant from Lejeune Foundation for the project “Dosage. Functioning and disability measure of ageing people with Down Syndrome”. From 2014 on she is Assistant Professor at e-Campus University (Novedrate, Como, Italy), and she is Lecturer in Health Psychology for the Second level degree course in Psychology. Member of the scientific committee of STORIOSS research center at e-Campus University and head of research on Narrative Medicine. Author or co-author of more than thirthy publications on international scientific journals and of several presentation and posters in international congress focussed on health and disability issues.
Dr. Venusia Covelli's research is focused on narrative medicine in neurology, functioning and disability of patients with neurological disease, ageing and healthy ageing, down syndrome and ageing.
