Dr. Niveditha. S is a microbiologist and holds a first class B.Sc degree from Kuvempu University in Microbiology, Botany and Biochemistry; a fifth rank holder in Master degree from Kuvempu University in Microbiology and has a doctorate from Bharathiar University. She has five years experience in Defence Food Research Laboratory, DRDO. This includes experience of microbiological tests, isolation of pathogenic microorganisms from clinical and environmental sources, designing of primers for the development of multiplex PCRs, Cloning, expression of clones in expression system, designing of chimeric genes, purification of recombinant proteins, polyclonal & monoclonal antibodies in animal model, purification of histidine tagged proteins by native conditions by affinity chromatography methods, histopathological studies, candidate vaccine studies. She was a guest faculty at Maharaniís Science College and also at Mother Teresa Nursing College, Mysore, Karnataka. She has undertaken ICMR extramuaral project in Defence Food Research Laboratory, Mysore, Karnataka. She has ten publictaions in her account along with one Indian Patent filed for the candidate vaccine molecule generated against Brucellosis. She attended various national and international conferences and presented posters and recievesd Best poster award and certificates. She is presently working as Quarantine Inspector in Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Which includes export and import health requirement of livestock and livestock products.
