Dr. Mercedes Bellido, Psychology PhD, is an Associate Professor of the Department of Developmental Psychology and Education at the University of Granada. In 2000 she obtained Expert Language and Hearing Disorders (Speech Therapy) from the University of Granada. In 2003 she obtained a PhD in Psychology from the University of Granada. In 2010 she obtained Training for the Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale from Brazelton Institute (Harvard Medical School). Dr. Mercedes Bellido has several international publications in high impact journals in the field of child neurodevelopment and perinatal psychology. She is also a peer reviewer for several international journals of psychology, behavioral sciences and pediatrics. She coordinates the Perinatal Psychological Care subgroup included in the “Child Follow-Up With Chronic Pathology” research group formed by gynecologists, pediatricians, nurses and psychologists. She is currently leading a research project on Perinatal psychological care for risk pregnancies.
