Dr. Kadriye ERKAN TURAN, MD, received her Doctorate of Medicine from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey in 2004. She completed an ophthalmology residency in the Department of Ophthalmology at Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey in 2010. During her residency, in 2008 she was accepted as a short-term observer visiting fellow at The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, Vitreoretinal and Medical Retina Unit. She worked as a visiting clinician at Mayo Clinic Department of Ophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Pediatric Neuro-ophthalmology Unit, Minnesota, USA and University of Zurich Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro-ophthalmology Unit, Zurich, Switzerland in 2013. She has been working at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology since 2012. She was promoted to assistant professor in 2016. Dr. ERKAN TURAN is an active member of European Pediatric Ophthalmological Society (EPOS), European Neuro-Ophthalmological Society (EUNOS), American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS), European Association for Vision and Eye Research (EVER), Turkish Ophthalmology Society (TOS). Academically, Dr. ERKAN TURAN has authored over 30 peer-reviewed journal publications in the field of ophthalmology. Additionally, she is a reviewer for several ophthalmology journals.
