Biography

Dr. Rajeev Taliyan completed his M.Pharm. (Pharmacology) from Punjabi University-Patiala, Punjab and Ph.D in Pharmacology with Prof. P.L Sharma (Emiratus, Prof. PGIMER) and Late Prof. Manjeet Singh (Ex Head, Dean, Punjabi University) from ISF college, Punjab Technical University, Punjab in 2011. Since January 2012, he has been working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Pilani-campus, Rajasthan. As the project leader, he has finished three sponsored research projects (UGC and DST, Govt of India), and currently working on two industry sponsored research projects. Moreover, One of his research projects is recommended from highly competitive grant i.e. DST-nanomission for targeted -brain nano- drug delivery system. He has published several research papers in peer reviewed National and International journals. He conferred with several awards like Prof .Manjeet Singh Gold Medal for best research paper in Mol.Pharmacology (IPSCOn-2014, Guwahati) and P P Surya Kumari Award: (Gold medal) for Best Published paper in Diabetes and metabolic disorder (IPSCON-15, Rajkot) and several best poster awards have been in his credits.


Research Interest

Dr. Rajeev Taliyan field of expertise is in Cardiovascular and Neuropharmacology. He is currently focused on to explore molecular mechanisms involved in Insulin Resistance, Insulin resistance links with CVS disorders, Insulin resistance with neurological disorders. Epigenetics, role of epigenetics / modulation in Alzheimer's and Parkinson disease. Brain stroke, pre and postconditioning against cerebral ischemia reperfusion injury.
