Dr. Zongxin Ling received his Ph.D in infectious diseases from Zhejiang University. Since 2012, he worked at Collaborative Innovation Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, State Key Laboratory for Diagnosis and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, The First Affiliated Hospital, College of Medicine, Zhejiang University Hangzhou, Zhejiang. He has focused on the microbial ecology in basic and clinical medicine for more than 10 years. With the advent of high-throughput sequencing techniques, he has investigated the relationship between microbiota and many diseases such as bacterial vaginosis, HIV infection, liver diseases, food allergy and so on. The human microbiota-host crosstalk has been discussed in his several publications. So far, he has published more than 40 articles in academic journals. His paper has been selected as ISMB 2011 Outstanding Paper Award at International Symposium of Microbial Biofilm (ISMB), Chengdu, China. As an expert in the field of microbiology, he is serving as reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
