Dr. Theresa E Pancotto graduated from Tufts Cummings’ School of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 with both DVM and MS (laboratory animal medicine) degrees. After graduation, she completed an internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists in Maitland, Florida. Dr. Pancotto completed a residency in neurology and neurosurgery with MS in veterinary medicine at Virginia Tech in 2011. During her program, she was awarded outstanding masters student and the Bente Flatland award for compassionate care. Dr. Pancotto achieved board certification through ACVIM, subspecialty Neurology in 2011 and has been a faculty member at Virginia Tech since that time. She currently teaches clinical neurology, spinal cord diseases of small animals, seizure disorders of small animals, and physical rehabilitation of the canine patient.
Dr. Pancotto participates in collaborative research including canine glioma clinical trials and clinical application of MR spectroscopy.
