Maria Pia Bucci is research scientist at the CNRS since 2002 and she obtained the Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR) in 2011. Currently she is at the head of a research group ‘Oculomotor & postural capabilities in children” at the Unit INSERM-Paris Diderot in the pediatric hospital in Paris (Robert Debré). The research program of MP Bucci is centered on developmental aspects of the binocular motor control and visuo-postural interactions. She is studying healthy children as well as children with neuro-ophthalomological pathologies (as strabismus, vergence abnormalities) and children with neuropsychological diseases (autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, children with ADHD). Since 2012 she is working full time in the paediatric hospital Robert Debré and she reinforced pluridisciplinary interaction/cooperation with several clinicians working in different services (ENT, OHP, neurology, psychopathology). She received grants from Fondation de France, from the Paris Descartes University and from European community (Eurostars project). MP Bucci has successfully supervised numerous Masters and PhD students and presently supervises 2 PhD students. She is scientifically productive with 90 original scientific publications, numerous book chapters and comminications to International Congres and/or invited conferences.
