Biography

Márcia Dalastra Laurenti, undergraduated in Biological Science (1982), Master in Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny School, University of São Paulo (1993), PhD in Veterinary Pathology, Veterinary Medicine and Zootechny School, University of São Paulo with sandwich schoolarship for develop a part of the research project in Microbiology and Tumorbiology Center, Karolinska Insitute, Stockholm, Sweden (1998). Pos Doc in Medical Entomology, Rene Rachou Institute, FIOCRUZ, Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil (2006). Since 2000, Associate Professor at Department of Pathology, Medical School, University of São Paulo. Head in chief of Laboratory of Pathology of Infectious Diseases where have been working with immunopathology of visceral and cutanous leishmaniasis in humans, dogs and experimental models in vitro and in vivo; canine leishmaniasis diagnosis. Coordenator of Graduation Program in Experimental Phisiopathology and member of Research Comittee. Ad-Hoc reviewer for São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), National Research Council (CNPq), and sicientific magazines, like as: Histology and Histopathology, International Journal of Experimental Pathology, Scandinavian of Immunology, Veterinary Parasitology, Veterinary Research, Brazilian Journal of Veterinary Parasitology, Plos One, Plos Negleted Tropical Diseases, Journal of Venomous Animals and Toxins including Tropical Diseases, Public Health, Trends in Tropical Medicine.
